The folks over at Mashable.com have a pretty unique method of sharing story links. When you hover over a particular post's associated image, you're prompted to "drag to share". A dark grey overlays the screen and an Apple-esque dock appears with four methods for sharing the story.
You simply drag the story's thumbnail onto any of these icons and you're redirected to the appropriate spot on the web.
Unfortunately, you're more likely to find this feature by accident instead of being led to it by the interface. By not making it apparent to the user that they can interact with the image, it becomes more of a hidden Easter Egg rather than a useful feature.
However, the novelty and interactivity of it does make it a stand out from the pack.
