To commemorate the return of Dexter for another season I thought I'd blog about my favourite part of the show: the opening credits.
Dexter is one of those rare shows that I never fast forward through the titles. The beautiful cinematography that juxtoposes the mundane morning routine as seen through eyes of a killer both fascinates and entertains. The Rolfe Kent track that builds atop the imagery is in stark opposite to the gruesomely filmed objects. In short, it perfectly captures the essence of the show.
Have a look for yourself.
For a much deeper analysis and a great interview with the title's creator head over to The Art of the Title Sequence.
